Hebridean Wildlife
The waters of the Southern Hebrides are rich in fascinating and exciting sealife and birdlife that has visitors flocking from all over the world.
Staffa Tours have extensive experience and local knowledge and while we can’t always guarantee a sighting of your favourite bird or animal, we do know the best spots to visit in varying weather conditions to give the best chance of a sighting.
Safe and Responsible Wildlife Watching
We always respect every animal and bird we see and let the animals themselves decide how close they come to the boat. When a whale is spotted it can be tempting to head straight for it to get a closer look, but this can result in unnecessary disturbance such as injury, disruption of breathing or feeding, and physical stress. Therefore, we always keep a safe distance from cetaceans and seabirds whilst keeping close enough to still get a good view. If it’s difficult for us to get a good viewing position we will have to keep to a distance, therefore a telescope or binoculars are essential.
