Take in a scenic route through the beautiful Isle of Mull with a visit to the picturesque town of Tobermory, then the highlights - an awe-inspiring visit to the unique Isle of Staffa to see Fingal's Cave and visit the wildlife paradise of the Treshnish Isles to spend time with the puffins.
From Oban you will board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Craignure on Mull where you will board our local West Coast Motors bus service which will take you along the stunning coastal route to Tobermory.
On this tour you will sail on the MV Angus, the largest and fastest vessel to operate trips to the Treshnish Isles and Staffa. The journey around Mull's west coast from Tobermory with its abundance of wildlife and stunning views takes us around one hour thanks to our modern vessels speed and stability; offering you a comfortable journey to enjoy the dramatic surroundings and thus giving you the advantage of having more time to sight wildlife and explore the unspoilt Islands when you choose this tour.
Tobermory the renowned ‘post-card perfect’ harbour of brightly coloured buildings, attributable to the popular BBC children’s programme ‘Balamory’, Whisky distillery, popular gift shops and a plentiful choice of delicious eateries; making it a desirable visiting location for all of the family. The town is recently more admirable for catching a glimpse of iconic wildlife species; from Golden and White-tailed Eagles and other marine birds soaring the skies to Otters, Dolphins and Porpoise swimming in the harbour. Tobermory harbour makes for the ideal departure destination to explore the magnificent coasts, which are significant feeding grounds of Basking Sharks, Minke Whale’s, Orca’s and less rarely sighted sea life such as the Sunfish and Leatherback Turtle!
Treshnish Isles and Staffa
On this tour we cruise to the Treshnish Isles and Staffa , en route always on the look-out for sightings of Whales, Dolphins, Basking Sharks, and Sea Eagles which are iconic to the North-West coast of Mull. If spotted you will be given ample time to enjoy being in the company of these spectacular species.
After this short one hour sail, we land on the idyllic Isle of Lunga, the largest of the Treshnish Isles. Surrounded by wildflowers and stunning secenery, the main attraction that can be seen close up is the large Puffin colony nesting in burrows in the grassy hillside, these comical birds are incredibly inquisitive and will come within a few metres of you. Lunga is also a popular habitat to an ever increasing number of Guillemot, Razorbill, Kittiwake, Fulmar, Shag, Great Skua and a Seal colony.
After spending up two hours ashore exploring the Treshnish Isles, we take the short 15 minute crossing to the geological wonder of Staffa, culminating in a visit to the world famous Fingal's Cave.
You are given further opportunity to stop by our local White - tailed Eagle nest and enjoy the magnificent surrounds of Coll, Tiree, Calgary beach, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse and the beautiful small isles to the North and another chance to sight our iconic marine mammals! Returning back to Tobermory you will have ample to time explore and vist the picturesque town of Tobermory before joining your coach back to Craignure.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUR TIME ON STAFFA: The National Trust for Scotland has advised us that there has been erosion over the Winter months at the entrance to Fingal's Cave that requires urgent repair. This means that while you can still walk to the cave and view, you cannot enter the until these repairs are complete At present there is no definite timescale for repairs but we will update as soon as we know they are complete.
