Explore the islands that form the atmospheric Treshnish Isles followed by a trip to magnificent Staffa. See the huge colonies of Puffins and other sea birds, then explore the geological splendour of Staffa and Fingal's Cave.
We cruise to the Treshnish Isles and en route we search for sightings of whales, dolphins and basking sharks. When seen we spend as much time as possible with them. We land on Lunga, the largest of the Treshnish Isles. The main attraction there is the large puffin colony but there are also many thousands of other seabirds nesting there. From Lunga we cruise to Staffa with time ashore to visit Fingal’s Cave.
The Treshnish Isles and Staffa wildlife cruise lasts for approximpately five and a half hours and the time ashore on Lunga is over two hours with a visit to Staffa. Should a large amount of time be spent watching the wildlife, the times ashore may be reduced. Visits ashore to Lunga end when the puffins and other seabirds migrate usually early in August. Instead we sail around the Treshnish Isles keeping a lookout for the wildlife usually seen near these islands.
On the way to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles keep an eye out for dolphins, porpoises and minke whales which are often seen during the warmer months.
