Whale Watch and Treshnish Isles Visit
The ultimate boat tour for the seabird and wildlife enthusiasts who want to combine Whale watching and the Treshnish Isles! You will have Staffa Tours’ over thirty years of experience to assist you in exciting Whale and Wildlife watching on the seas between Mull, Coll, Muck and Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, before a short sail to enjoy up to two hours ashore exploring the seabird sanctuary on the Treshnish Isles.
On Lunga, you will be able to get up close and personal with the hundreds of breeding Puffins. These comical little birds nest in burrows in the grass hillside and are incredibly inquisitive, coming within a few metres of you. Ensure that you carry on past the Puffins and head to the far end of the island where you will come across Harp rock; the cliff-side nesting site for many more seabirds from the other Auk family members including Guillemot and Razorbill, Kittiwake and Shag amongst others. Whilst taking in breath-taking scenery you will also have the opportunity to sight White Tailed Eagles, Golden Eagles, Seals, Basking Sharks, Dolphins and even the rarer glimpse of Orca and Sunfish!
The return leg of this tour provides another fantastic opportunity to sight further wildlife closer to Mull’s stunning coastline before returning home. Being a part of this tour will engage you with our on-going research which is fundamental to the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust carry out education and monitoring programmes of cetaceans on the west coast of Scotland.
